How You Can Help

If you would like to participate, here are the items we need (see our Wish List page too!):

  • New, handmade blankets for preemies through teenagers (children come in all sizes). They can be quilted, knitted, crocheted, sewn--whatever means you like. Blankets need to be machine washable (no fringe), machine dryable, and durable. Here are some approximate sizes (these are guidelines only, not absolutes):
Preemie baby blanket
Please use soft yarn or soft fabric.
20" by 25" to 30"
Newborn baby 25" by 30" to 35"
Toddler 35" by 40" to 45"
Child 40" by 60"
Teen 50" by 72"
  • Fabric (cotton, flannel and fleece only), low-loft batting and/or acrylic yarn for volunteers to make into blankets.
  • Postage stamps, office supplies, and/or copying services.
  • Tax deductible donations, which help offset the costs of our 100% volunteer effort. For more information, visit the Project Linus National Headquarters web site.
